ER70S-6 is one of the most widely used solid welding wires for MIG welding of carbon steel.
This is a mild steel welding wire that typically contains silicon and manganese, which contributes to good arc stability and minimal spatter.
MIG welding wires offer a wide range of benefits to welders, including providing consistent quality welds, enhancing weld properties, and reducing welding production costs.
Usages:
- ER70S-6 solid wires are the most common choice for welding mild steel. This widely available wire is found in general fabrication, automotive welding applications and can be used for robotic welding, as well as to complete root passes for pipe welding and other critical or industrial applications.
- It is designed to weld metals such as steel and stainless steel, as well as sheet metal and pipes. Also, it can be used with both argon and CO2 shielding gases. It is also suitable for welding on dirty or scaled surfaces. This type of wire is used in single and multiple-pass welding processes.
- Welding Mild Steel and 500Mpa grade of high-strength steel structures, such as ships, vehicles, bridges, etc..
