RUST PROECTION 5-10 SOLUTION (RP 5-10) is a mineral solvent, wax, and inhibitor balanced general purpose, corrosion preventive solution. RP 5-10 is good for long-term protection of metal against corrosion either indoor or outdoor exposure. RP 5-10 forms a thin waxy, clear film on a protected surface. A high-quality soft film rust preventive which on evaporation of the solvent leaves a powerful protection film. RP 5-10 is a solvent-based, water-displacing type rust preventive oil. It has excellent water-displacing characteristics. It is useful in machine shops and in heavy parts and plant manufacturers. Ideal for treating machined parts, equipment etc. enabling protection during storage.

Preparation
The maximum performance of RP 5-10 can be achieved only when the metal surfaces to be protected are clean, dry and free of rust, oil and mill scale. Alkaline or Acidic degreasers are suggested for preparation
Application
RP 5-10 is to be used as supplied. If the product thickens due to cold storage or loss of solvent during use, use RP 5-10 thinning additive
Recommendations
RP 5-10 is recommended to apply by dip method or directly to wet surfaces where they displace water leaving a protective film on the component. The spray method can also be used for required applications. This protective film can be removed by solvent or a suitable alkaline solution.
Storage
RP 5-10 should be stored at temperatures between 10-35 °C. Mild agitation is recommended before use. Due to its composition, RP 5-10 can be subject to postproduction viscosity changes during storage. Under proper storage conditions, RP 5-10 can have a shelf life of 2 years minimum.
