A convex mirror is a curved, spherical mirror with a reflective surface that bulges outward toward the light source, often called a diverging mirror. It always forms upright, virtual, and diminished (smaller) images. Due to its shape, it provides a wider field of view, commonly used in side-view mirrors, security mirrors, and blind-spot monitoring.
Common Uses:
- Security Mirrors: Used in stores to monitor large areas for theft.
- Traffic Safety: Placed at sharp, blind corners to prevent accidents.
- ATM Mirrors: Enabled users to see if anyone is behind them
